In the TransEET project we have formed 5 Communities of Interest to collaborate using the Co.F.E. method (check out our website for more information on the method). But how does a Community of Interest come into existence?
The CoI formation in our project can be roughly seen in three stages. First, the members of different Communities of Practice came together bringing their diverse histories, expertise and backgrounds. They then shared their interests and sketched some rough topics to separate into 4 Communities of Interest. Within these CoIs, the topics were further refined leading to a community identity which is the theme or problem all members of the community want to address together. Over the next week we will be sharing more information about these CoI identities developed in the TransEET project.
This is only one example of how CoIs can emerge in a very specific setting. If you have experience or ideas how Communities of Interest form and thrive in your setting, please leave us a comment or send us a message.
