4.3 Dissemination and communication activities

Participation in conferences

Participation in conferences and events is an essential component of research activity, offering opportunities to share the project outcomes, present findings, engage with the academic and professional community, receive feedback, and stay informed about developments in the field. The TransEET project has disseminated its outcomes in a variety of scientific conferences, targeting to diverse audiences (e.g. WAAE workshop).

Participation and organisation of public events or organisations

Disseminating a project also involves sharing the results, findings, and outcomes of the project with the intended audience, stakeholders, and the general public. This can be achieved through the active participation of project members in public events—such as Researcher’s Night or professional development seminars, as well as by organizing events like conferences, workshops and training sessions. These activities can foster the project’s impact beyond its immediate network. Attracting a wider variety of communities fosters collaboration among stakeholders with similar interests and goals. It can also help to identify potential collaborators for future projects. At the same time, the project team obtains diverse and rich feedback on the project’s results, findings, and outcomes, allowing further advancements. These are some of the initiatives TransEET project considered for promoting its activities and results:

Developing and distributing newsletters, brochures, and other printed materials to stakeholders and interested parties

Producing and distributing communication materials—such as newsletters, brochures, flyers, and posters—is an effective strategy to inform stakeholders about project progress and results. These materials help increase visibility, support outreach efforts, and can be tailored to different audiences to ensure that key messages are communicated clearly and effectively.

Collaborating with industry partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders to promote the uptake and use of project results

Establishing collaborations with institutional, educational, and industrial stakeholders is essential for the long-term adoption and impact of project outcomes. These collaborations can take the form of partnerships for professional development programs, pilot implementations, or advisory relationships. By aligning the project outcomes with broader educational or policy priorities, the potential for lasting integration and systemic change increases.

Engaging with the media to generate publicity and raise awareness about the project

Media engagement—through institutional communication channels, press releases, interviews, or participation in digital platforms—can significantly enhance the visibility and public awareness of the project. Strategic communication ensures that the relevance and benefits of the project reach beyond the academic world, potentially influencing broader public discourse and educational practices.

Participating in expert groups, advisory boards, and other relevant forums to influence policy and practice in the project domain

Involvement in expert panels, working groups, and advisory bodies enables the project to contribute to shaping educational policy and practice. Through these forums, the project’s findings and approaches can inform decision-making processes, helping to align innovations with current and future needs in education and digital transformation.
